Kaldero // Identity
We believe food is one of the most powerful ways to express and explore identity, because food is a universal language. It sits alongside other forms of personal expression that are also core to what we do, like music, art, writing.
Our aim is for Kaldero to feel like a cohesive, creatively led space. Everyone involved brings something to it; through the food, but also through the artwork, the music, and the atmosphere on the floor, shaped by warm hospitality.
We want people to feel fully welcomed and maybe, in that space, have a moment to think about how food and identity do or don’t connect in their own lives. We want to get people thinking, talking and sharing, by telling our stories over a meal. We do it ourselves, through the flavours we bring that remind us of places we’ve been, people we miss and memories that’ve shaped us.
